The Dream Project is the product of my thesis research for my Master's Degree in Art Education at NYU.
I have examined the dreams of high school students who are recent immigrants to the United States. The students have immigrated to New York City from all over the world. As high school seniors they are poised at the edge of a different way of being in the world. They are making decisions that will start to direct the flow of their lives. In my research I have been examining how dreams function in the lives of these young people and how the dreams can reveal a desire to make change in the world.
In order for educators to better understand the dream lives of the young people they work with I have made these dreams available on this site. I have devised a visual way of displaying the dream sound files so that they can be easily accessed and navigated. I call this the dreamfield.
